Allianz compiles the Risk Barometer report every year. It presents the greatest risks for companies in 2021. Cyber incidents are still among the top 3. Employee training and security training as a measure. Especially in the home office.

Allianz Global has produced its tenth Risk Barometer report. 2,769 experts from 92 countries were surveyed for the 2021 report. The pandemic features throughout this report, making it the number one overall business risk ahead of cybercrime. Nevertheless, in Germany the risk of a cyber incident is still extremely high in second place with 48%. Worldwide, the risk of cyberattacks is in third place with 40%.

For example, the acceleration due to the pandemic towards more digitization and the home office is seen as a risk, challenging IT infrastructure and IT security and exacerbating weaknesses. Ransomware attacks continue to increase, especially against large companies. The pandemic also plays a role here. COVID-19 related malware and ransomware attacks have increased significantly since last spring.

It is therefore even more important to train your employees in information security and to support them in secure behavior, especially in the home office.
